Our client a large local authority have an immediate need for a Technical Manager, a temporary role for an initial 3 month period but we expect this to be extended. The role : To manage a team of technical and surveying staff to provide a comprehensive property management service for the housing stock and transitional support service for all aspects of the clients varied asset portfolio ensuring that * agreed programmes of works for cyclical maintenance, component replacements, improvements and repair contracts are delivered efficiently, effectively and economically * the Regulatory works programmes for HHSRS and Decent Homes, and legal disrepair claims are effectively managed * technical advice is provided to internal and external clients * contracts are procured and managed effectively * transitional support is provided with projects on the commercial property portfolio * effective relationships with building managers and project officers are built and working arrangements maintained with all clients to ensure that quality technical and asset management services are provided in a professional, customer focused manner.
