About the Role

Join our team leading our Early Years provision, building on existing strengths and driving excellence across Trafford.

* Liaise with nursery and Early Years settings and map music provision across the Trafford area.
* Organise music events that target the engagement of children in the Early Years.
* Plan, promote and deliver music projects in schools in Trafford and external settings.
* Oversee and deliver the Rhyme and Chime sessions at the music centre.
* Provide high quality CPD to Early Years practitioners and model best practice.

This role offers the chance to influence and develop our Early Years service direction, champion high standards, and work collaboratively to support our passionate teaching team.

If you’re motivated by creating inclusive, inspiring musical pathways for Early Years settings, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a real impact.

There may be an opportunity for the successful candidate to grow the role further and expand the teaching hours.

About You

Your style and approach will reflect our Music Service values and behaviours. You will be committed to continually learning and improving the way you do things to ensure high quality music provision for all pupils. Success in this role relies on exceptional organisational ability and strong ICT skills and an ability to work efficiently to deadlines. Excellent communication, planning and delivery are essential to this role, and above all else we want to recruit someone with a love for Early Years and teaching children and inspiring the next generation of children to be musical.

You will have significant experience of planning and delivering music learning to groups or whole classes of children within Early Years educational settings, and hold a degree in Music, Education or a closely related field.

Please see the role profile ‘About You’ section for the full person specification criteria.
