Hours of work:
8. Mon – Fri (9.00am – 5.00pm)
Main duties:
9. To teach a range of practical sheep and cattle skills to Level 2 students, as specified in the course programme. Skills to include weighing, dosing, injecting and tagging stock and selecting animals for slaughter.
10. To assess student competence in a range of practical sheep and cattle skills to Level 2 students. Skills to include weighing, dosing, injecting and tagging stock and selecting animals for slaughter.
11. To complete all appropriate documentation relating to each instruction and assessment session as required.
12. To record/evaluate learner performance and provide feedback.
13. To undertake required training as prescribed by Course Awarding Bodies, funding agencies, DAERA, CAFRE
14. To undertake all other duties as assigned by line manager
Essential Experience &Qualifications required:
15. The applicant must possess a Level 3 in Agriculture or related discipline
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
16. To deliver on these courses staff must be technically knowledgeable in the areas above.
17. Previous experience of delivery and assessment of student learning is also beneficial.
