We have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with our client with the expansion of the Commercial Department based out of Egham at their newly refurbished HQ. The company are growing their team and would like to take on an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. The role reports directly to the Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Manager, with room for this role to expand as the company grows. Our client are a Soft and Hard Landscaping contractor predominantly servicing main contractors and developers across central London and the surrounding areas.
Key responsibilities
* Assisting the Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Manager
* Producing applications for payment
* Ensuring payments are received in line with applications and dealing with any queries
* Maintaining and updating the application register
* Recording variations and including them in applications for payment
* Compile and issue invitations to tender, analyse subcontractor quotations and make recommendations for placement of orders
* Assisting with CVR’s and reporting commercial status of projects
* Assisting with variations and Add and Omits
* Assisting the operations team with commercial matters
* Maintain accurate and organised project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence.
Qualifications & Experience
* Quantity Surveying: 2 years
* Diploma or Higher Education preferred but not essential
* Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office & Excel.
* Full, clean UK Driving Licence a benefit but not essential

Requirements:
* Quantity surveying : 1 year (required)
