You will be responsible for repairing, replacing, and maintaining all machinery and structures on site in an efficient and professional manner, either as part of a team or on some occasions by yourself as required. Working in our Newport site, the successful candidate will be part of a team working under the supervision of a knowledgeable and supportive Maintenance Manager.
Responsibilities:
1. Conducting repairs, replacements, and maintenance of machinery and structures on site efficiently and professionally, both independently and as part of a team.
2. Ensuring safety protocols and housekeeping standards are maintained in the workshop and plant area.
3. Collaborating closely with the Maintenance Manager to execute maintenance plans and address any issues promptly.
4. Managing front-line maintenance contractor safety and adhering to risk assessment procedures.
5. Promoting a Zero Harm workplace culture and driving continuous improvement in Health and Safety practices.
6. Providing cover for the Maintenance Controller role during holidays, sickness, or absences.
7. Coordinating with suppliers, including obtaining quotations for parts and services, and ensuring availability of critical spares.
8. Maintaining the engineering workshop and managing parts inventory in coordination with the Maintenance Manager.
9. Adhering to all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety, and Community.
