Our client is a leading Importer & Distributor of Timber, Plywood and Panel Products and due to expansion, they are seeking an OPERATIONS MANAGER and we are delighted to have the opportunity to assist them in their search. Reporting to: DEPOT DIRECTOR
Key Responsibilities of OPERATIONS MANAGER
* Staff Supervision & Development, lead, manage, and mentor all operational teams
* Forecast operational needs, including staffing, equipment and resource allocation to meet business demand .
* Implement and develop operational strategies, process, policies and systems to improve efficiency, productivity and quality across all business functions .
* Ensure efficient and safe workflow, and identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to streamline operations .
* Continuously monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of operations .
* Manage key operational projects from inception to completion.
* All Risk Management, identify operational risks and develop strategies to minimize disruptions
Skills & Experience Required - OPERATIONS MANAGER
* Proven experience in Operations Management
* Exceptional organisational and time management abilities
* Strong experience in warehouse procedures, inventory control and logistics
* Solid understanding of Health & Safety (ISOH)
* Effective communication skills
* Customer-focused with sound commercial skills.
* Good IT skills & PC literate and experience with Microsoft Outlook
