Job Title: Gas Testing Engineer
Location: West and East Midlands
Hours: Monday - Friday 39 hours per week
This is a hands-on technical role supporting the delivery of gas testing and analysis services across the East and West Midlands. It may involve at times covering other parts of the UK and Ireland. You will take ownership of projects from start to finish, combining operational site work with technical expertise to ensure accurate, safe, and high-quality outcomes in line with SGS standards. It’s a great opportunity to contribute to a growing area of the business while developing specialist knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out onsite gas testing and analysis activities, delivering accurate results and submitting reports within agreed timeframes
* Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of gas analysis
* Support the preparation, maintenance, and operation of testing equipment and analysis tools
* Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and key stakeholders, supporting high-quality service delivery
* Ensure all work is completed in line with SGS quality, safety, and operational standards, with flexibility to travel across the UK, Ireland, and occasionally Europe
Qualifications
Essential
Relevant engineering or technical qualification or equivalent experience
Desirable
Additional technical certifications or safety passport
