Fleet Planner - Cardiff, WalesSalary: 59,977The RoleThis role will be responsible for all maintenance and planning associated with the Fleet. The role will closely monitor the fleet mileage and condition status, with particular reference to the identification of defects and potential defects prior to the units return to depot, in order to ensure that all aspects of fleet maintenance is efficiently planned through the maintenance with regards to performance impact and costs using all tools available.Role responsibilitiesCreate fleet planned maintenance exam plans for all fleet types and depot locations.Create fleet planned, unplanned and heavy maintenance programmes for all TfW fleet types for all maintenance depots in line with vehicle maintenance instructions and heavy maintenance requirements.Monitor delivery of the plan, both in terms of production delivery and Unit Control's delivery to depot. Produce KPI's to report this performance.To ensure the plan is fully communicated to all parties and compliant with the VMI requirementsWho we're looking forMinimum 3-years+ engineering apprenticeship or NVQ equivalent.A sound knowledge in unit diagram allocation and the railways infrastructureInitiate day-to-day audits by Mobile Engineers of safety related repairs and maintenanceGood understanding and experience of strategically planning taking into account real time activities, with proven experience of implementing change and strive for continuous improvement.Welsh Language SkillsWhile not essential for this role, Welsh language skills would make a great addition to your application.TfWsupport anyone who wants to learn Welsh or improve their skills.
