Job description
Hays Travel is seeking a highly organised and results-driven Digital Delivery Manager to join our dynamic Technology Team. In this role, you will lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of complex digital projects with a focus on enhancing the customer experience and driving business growth. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading continuous improvement within the agile web team to deliver and maintain high-quality websites and digital platforms for Hays Travel, ensuring they meet the company's strategic objectives and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Delivery leadership: Lead and manage the strategic project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure. Work with the product owner to deliver continuous improvement via agile practises.
2. Scope management: Work with stakeholders to define clear project and ticket scope, objectives, and deliverables. Manage scope changes and ensure alignment with business goals. Collaborate with the product team to define website and platform requirements and develop roadmaps.
3. Timeline and budget management: Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets. Track progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
4. Resource management: Coordinate and allocate project resources effectively within the product team. Manage internal teams, external suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality websites and digital platforms.
5. Risk management: Identify and assess risks to web deliverables. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies. Ensure the product team has the necessary resources, tools, and support to achieve their goals.
6. Stakeholder management: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders. Communicate delivery status, progress, and issues regularly.
7. Quality assurance: Ensure deliverables meet or exceed quality standards. Implement quality control processes and conduct regular reviews.
8. Change management: Manage and work with stakeholders to prioritise project and BAU changes effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and budgets.
Qualifications:
9. Three plus years of proven experience as a project manager in the digital space, with a demonstrable track record of delivering successful projects and product roadmaps. Experience of working within multi-disciplinary product teams.
10. Understanding of digital technologies, platforms, and trends relevant to the travel industry (, websites, mobile apps, e-commerce, UX/UI).
11. Expert in delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid). Proficiency in project management tools (, Devops, MS Tools).
12. Ability to understand technical requirements and communicate effectively with developers, designers, and other technical team members.
13. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence stakeholders and motivate teams.
14. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to identify and resolve issues proactively.
Desirable Qualifications:
15. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification.
16. Experience with large, complex websites or applications, especially those based on Umbraco CMS.
17. Experience in the travel or tourism industry
