This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator who can inspire students through hands-on learning, creative design, and high-quality workshop practice. Role Responsibilities of Resistant Materials Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging Resistant Materials lessons across Key Stages. Teach practical skills such as woodworking, metalworking, CAD/CAM, and product design. Promote creativity, problem-solving, and safe working practices in the workshop. Monitor progress, assess work, and provide constructive feedback to support achievement. Work collaboratively with the DT team to develop an inspiring and progressive curriculum. What You’ll Bring as a Resistant Materials Teacher: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification. Experience teaching Resistant Materials or Design & Technology in a UK school. Strong practical skills and a thorough understanding of workshop tools, machinery, and safety. Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management abilities. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
