Training Programme Director – Anaesthetics
We are looking to recruit 4 new KSS Training Programme Directors in Anaesthetics.
* TRAS – 1 PA
* ACCS – 1.5 PA
* Stage 1 Sussex – 1 PA
* Stage 3 Sussex – 1 PA
As multiple TPD posts are being advertised, all candidates invited for interview will be asked if they wish to also be considered for alternative TPD posts.
Role Overview
The Training Programme Director works with and supports the Head of School to lead delivery of a wide range of functions aligned to the NHS England mandate. The role supports the Postgraduate Dean, working across health and, where relevant, social care to ensure educational provision reflects changing service models. It involves delivering an integrated workforce comprising individuals from a spectrum of professional and other backgrounds.
Accountability and Focus
The role is professionally and managerially accountable to the Head of School. Focus areas include improvement of learner supervision, assessment and experience, engagement of faculty, and ensuring effective educational outcomes now and in the future. The position is evolving, with a focus on whole workforce transformation and developing multi‑professional links.
Secondments
