About us:
We are an Indoor Soft Play and Party Centre for children up to the age of 10 years old.
We are looking for a hands-on day to day Supervisor who is both fun and friendly to welcome our customers.
You will be responsible overseeing the daily operations of a children's soft play centre, ensuring a safe, clean, and fun environment for children and their families. You will lead and supervise staff, manage all aspects of customer service, coordinate parties and events, and handle administrative duties to ensure the business runs smoothly and profitably.
Key responsibilities
* Safety and maintenance: Conduct regular safety checks of all play equipment and areas. Ensure the facility is consistently clean and hygienic and that all staff are fully trained on health and safety regulations.
* Oversee the smooth delivery of admissions, parties and events: Manage the booking system for general admission, parties, and special events. Coordinate staffing and resources to deliver high-quality play session, delivery of parties and events
* Food and beverage: Oversee the café or food-handling operations, including managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring all food safety standards are met, as the manager you will need to be able to cook to cover staff holidays, sickness and support peak times
* Daily oversight: Take keyholder responsibility for opening and closing the centre. Monitor daily activities to ensure a smooth, efficient operation.
* Serve the customers, taking food and drink orders and cash and card payments
* Cashing up, resolve any errors monitor floats
* Be responsible for the opening and closing of the setting
* Have excellent communication skills with both customers and staff
Team leadership
* Staff supervision: Assist in recruiting, train, and manage a team of staff, for front house and kitchen
* Performance management: Motivate and inspire the team to maintain high standards of customer service.
* Scheduling: Create and manage staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage, particularly during peak times taken into account staff levels to admissions making changes to suit levels in line with budgets, sign of staff weekly hours ready for payrole
Customer experience
* Service delivery: Create a welcoming, engaging, and safe atmosphere for all visitors.
* Issue resolution: Professionally and proactively handle all customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints.
* Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to increase customer engagement and repeat visits, such as themed events or membership programs.
Financial management and marketing
* Financial management: Manage daily financial transactions and monitor expenses. Work with directors to increase visitor numbers and revenue.
* Marketing: Support marketing activities, including local outreach and social media.
Qualifications and skills
Essential
* Previous supervisory or managerial experience in relevant settings.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* A passion for working with children and families.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Commitment to health and safety, and child safeguarding.
* Availability for weekends and school holidays.
* First Aid (Can be obtain if successful)
* Relevant management qualifications.
* Experience with booking systems, payroll, and event coordination.
* Experience in food service or a food hygiene certificate. (Can be obtain if successful)
* Knowledge of allergens
* Must have computer skills including Word Excel and Outlook
Must be over 18 years old
Must be available to work weekends and school holidays
No Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Years Day working
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 36 per week
