Main Duties of the Job
The successful person will be required to optimise efficiency and ensure that the practice achieves its long‑term strategic objectives in a safe and effective working environment.
They will be competent in all aspects of core practice management, be able to manage a varied workload and be responsible for all aspects of practice functionality. This will encompass financial responsibilities, operations, patient services, digital systems and IT, HR and compliance including CQC and Information Governance regulations, NHSE contract delivery and performance, premises management including H&S, and strategic management including internal and external stakeholder relationships.
* Securing the future profitability of the practice.
* Proactively engaging with the whole practice team, supporting all members of staff to enable them to excel at their individual roles.
* Upholding the practice reputation for delivering high quality services through an efficient, safe and effective working environment.
* Analysing the effects on the practice of forthcoming changes in the NHS and providing the Partners with options for responding to change.
* Managing the increasing demand from patients and regulatory compliance.
* Demonstrating excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Full‑time (37 hours) or part‑time in a substantial role (from 32 hours).

Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent experience
* HR/Leadership training
* Leadership and/or Management qualification, or relevant experience
* Accountancy or finance qualification
Experience
* Experience in managing finances, including bookkeeping and cash flow forecasting.
* Experience in Payroll, PAYE and Pension provision for employed staff.
* Experience of working with the general public.
* Experience of leading and line managing a multidisciplinary team, including operating performance & management processes; recruitment, appraisals, staff development, disciplinary & grievance procedures, workforce planning, forecasting and development.
* Proven track record in motivating/managing staff in a changing environment.
* Experience in general practice or other parts of the NHS.
* Experience of successfully developing and implementing projects.
* Experience of health and safety requirements and needs within a small business.
