Reception Teaching Assistant- Atherton
Milk Education are working with a primary school in Atherton (M46) who are seeking a full-time Reception Teaching Assistant to work 1-2-1 with a child who has Autism.
This Reception Teaching Assistant role is an immediate start and will be a temporary, long-term role until July 2026.
For this Reception Teaching Assistant role the School are looking for someone who is patient, nurturing and accommodating to the child’s learning needs for this Reception Teaching Assistant position. The hours of work are 08:30am- 15:30pm, Monday to Friday with a 30 minute lunch break.
This Reception Teaching Assistant role will involve keeping the child on task and ensuring that the work they doing is being done to a good standard. You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and ensure the child’s needs are being met. In this Reception Teaching Assistant role you will provide a patient and nurturing learning environment for the child.
Teaching Assistant- Role & Responsibilities:
1. Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
2. Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
3. Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
4. Deliver catch-up sessions
Teaching Assistant Level- Non-negotiables:
5. Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years
6. Must have a passion for education
7. Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
8. Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
9. Must be reliable and punctual
