Job Description: Product Support Specialist – Manual & Robotic
To grow Stryker's Joint Replacement business by promoting Hip and Knee products to Orthopaedic Surgeons and optimizing customer service, growing existing accounts through technical expertise.
This role provides clinical product support to end users and guidance during Mako surgical procedures. The candidate should be flexible and mobile to support multiple territories across two regions for the first 12 months, then consolidate efforts within one team and region.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Ethical Conduct: Demonstrates outstanding ethics, treats customers and employees with respect, and represents the company positively.
2. Knowledge: Communicates benefits and clinical applications of products.
3. Customer Service: Acts with integrity and fulfills commitments timely.
4. Business Planning: Constructs basic business plans with mentor input; plans daily, weekly, and monthly in collaboration with manager.
5. Sales Skills: Develops rapport, understands customer needs, and uses troubleshooting to grow and protect business.
6. Commercial Awareness: Recognizes multiple stakeholders and asks appropriate questions.
7. Discretion and Impact: Works under supervision, keeps supervisor informed, and overcomes results issues without major impact.
8. Sales Targets: Achieves sales results aligned with targets and KPIs.
9. Customer Support: Plans, prioritizes, and executes customer activities; supports and maintains existing customers; develops strategies to strengthen Stryker's position.
10. Market Observation: Analyzes market and customer challenges, develops solutions with team support.
11. Meetings and Administration: Participates in organizational meetings; manages customer database/CRM.
Clinical/Technical Expertise:
1. Provides front-line support during surgeries, trains surgeons and staff on Mako robot, and assists with pre-operative planning.
2. Troubleshoots technical issues and partners with Field Service.
3. Builds comprehensive knowledge of implants, instrumentation, and robotic applications.
4. Educates on clinical benefits and best practices; completes necessary training and certifications.
5. Develops competence in manual procedures and complex surgeries.
