Overview
As a Home Delivery Driver, you will deliver groceries in a 3.5 tonne van to customers’ doorsteps, ensuring on-time delivery in great condition. When not delivering, you will assist across the store as needed.
Responsibilities
* Drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps, on-time and in a great condition.
* Complete checks to ensure the van is organised, clean and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before driving in varied locations and conditions.
* Serve customers brilliantly by answering questions, handling substitutions, and communicating any delays.
* Build knowledge about products, services and promotions to provide informed recommendations.
* Help across the store when not on deliveries, contributing to a friendly and welcoming environment.
* Proficiently drive a large vehicle in different locations, from busy residential streets to narrow country lanes, delivering to a variety of residential properties.
* Work in a fast-paced, physical and high-energy environment, using initiative to solve problems; thrive both independently and as part of a team.
* Be flexible and productive across the store, with opportunities to learn, develop and try new things through full training in a variety of skills.
* Be comfortable learning to use new digital tools and technology, and move shopping containers up to 15 kg.

Eligibility
* You must be over 18 and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points.
* You will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of the interview; if successful, a driving assessment will follow on joining us.
* You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
