Job Description: Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse team Lead to oversee daily operations within our busy warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and a solid understanding of materials handling and logistics processes. This role involves supervising team members, managing inventory, and ensuring safety standards are maintained throughout all activities. The Warehouse Lead will play a key part in streamlining operations, improving efficiency, and maintaining high standards of organisation within the warehouse. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, load and unload operations. Operate and oversee the use of forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently. Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS), ensuring accurate stock levels and proper documentation. Lead a team of warehouse operatives, providing guidance, training, and support to optimise productivity. Ensure materials handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations. Organise the storage of goods in a logical manner to facilitate easy access and efficient utilisation of space. Assist with mechanical maintenance or troubleshooting of equipment as required. Collaborate with other departments such as construction or logistics to meet project deadlines and operational goals. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times. Experience Proven experience working within a warehouse environment, ideally in a supervisory or lead capacity. Demonstrable proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for stock control and order processing. Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques, shipping & receiving procedures, and heavy lifting safety protocols. Mechanical knowledge or experience in construction-related tasks is advantageous but not essential. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail under pressure. Previous experience leading or supervising teams within a fast-paced logistics setting is highly desirable.
