You will demonstrate excellent execution of all proactive sales strategies and revenue management to support the achievement of C&E budgets and profit. The role will have key responsibility for the development and growth of conference and event business within the venue and cross-selling RAF Museum, Midlands and as well as other Restaurant Associates Venues within the UK.In this role you will demonstrate your experience of the events market and its trends and be a true event sales specialist, with evidence of developing strong client relationships within the UK corporate and agent market. The role will focus on generating and converting pipeline opportunities for meetings, conferences and banquets, networking, presentations, marketing and hosting customer showcases. You must be an excellent communicator and financially savvy, with a passion for food. Key Responsibilities:Proactively identify and manage key target customers, existing and new.Account management of agreed top, prospect and growth accounts.To achieve agreed sales targets through proactive selling to these target customersTo support & drive the conversion of enquiries and bookings for the venue.To support the creation and execution of key selling strategies, ensuring their continued appropriateness against current market conditions, market intelligence and benchmarking statisticsTo always be aware of sales activity/initiatives of the competitors and use this market intelligence, acting upon it to ensure RAF Museums obtain high market share in this sector.Understand, research and implement plans to deliver new business from new market segments.Expand business from existing accounts by promoting innovative packages.Lead innovative campaigns in line with group strategy.To maintain contact with key accounts through face to face, telephone, written, direct mail activity and customer eventsTo manage seasonal peaks, troughs and shortfalls in business through effective marketing and promotional strategiesTo raise interest in RAF Museum, London and other Restaurant Associates venues through group campaigns aimed at the key target customers. These include customer appointments, proactive calls, showcases, Fam Trips, participation at exhibitions, roadshows, trade shows and involvement with other key influencers such as Chamber of Commerce, and local PA Networks.To carry out research campaigns per calendar month split between relevant market segments.To liaise on a weekly basis with the central sales team to ensure a harmonised approach to sales with an understanding of activity and pricing strategiesExperienced in producing and presenting quality proposals with great attention to detail.To ensure all commercial deal information and key accounts information is communicated effectively and to all relevant teams.To perform marketing tasks such as but not limited to; website updates, press releases, newsletters, e-shots, social media management, proposal and brochure content briefings, management of 3rd party websites.Ensure brand standards are maintained by clients, internal customers and suppliers alikeTo attend quarterly client meetings to present sales strategy, review process and C & E performance.To maintain accurate, up-to-date reports and informationTo perform ad hoc tasks as directed About YouHave 3 years proven pro-active and account management experience of corporates.2 years' knowledge of London market, DMC's, Agencies and CorporateHave working knowledge of the Destination Management Companies and Association markets.Be able to develop partnerships with event organisers and other industry contacts to raise the profile of the venue.Thorough working knowledge of all key market segments and key clients within each segmentEvidence in achieving KPI's, account plans and developing marketing and business strategy to achieve growth expectationsHigh degree of commercial awareness with profit & loss.Must show initiative, drive and ambition to deliver and be a confident decision makerMulti-site selling experienceDelphi property CRM knowledge or similar (desirable) About Us:Restaurant Associates is a leading premium hospitality provider with an ethos drawn from our history of fine and high-quality dining in London and New York.Within our venues team, we provide catering and hospitality services to some of the most iconic visitor attractions and destinations in the UK including the Imperial War Museum London, Glyndebourne Opera House, Knebworth House, Design Museum, Whipsnade Zoo and many more.
