Pharmacy Assistant - Stores / Reception

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated team in a rewarding environment? The Pharmacy department at Sheffield Children's Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team and help us deliver a top-quality service to patients.

What You'll Need:

* GPHC Approved L2 Pharmacy Qualification (or willingness to work towards).
* GCSEs in English and Maths, or equivalent.
* Team focussed, and able to complete tasks independently.
* Previous hospital experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Dispensary Manager, your responsibilities will include:

* Support the receipt, processing, and provision of pharmaceutical supplies in the Stores department.
* Help with ward drug top-ups.
* Work on the Dispensary Reception, receiving prescriptions and providing excellent customer service.
* Handle busy enquiry lines.
* Contribute to a safe and efficient pharmacy service for patients.

Please note that Sheffield Children's uplift pay to meet the Real Living Wage, which is £12.60 per hour.

Person Specification


Qualifications

* GCSE C or above in maths and English language or equivalent.
* GPHC Approved L2 Pharmacy Qualification.


Experience

* Experience of working in a pharmacy environment.
* Stores work.
* Coaching and Mentoring.


Knowledge

* Knowledge of stock control and need for confidentiality.
* Careful and accurate worker.
* Ability to work alone and as a member of team.
* Understanding of the need for confidentiality.
* Knowledge of Data Protection Act.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act.
* Knowledge of COSHH.
* Lifting and Handling Training.
