ServiceNow Technical Architect - DV Cleared ContractLocation: Remote (UK-based with travel to client sites)Day rate: £600 - £700 per day Inside IR35Clearance: Must hold active DV (Developed Vetting) clearanceWe are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Technical Architect to join a high-performing delivery team, leading the design and delivery of complex ServiceNow solutions across enterprise and public sector environments. This is a remote role with UK-based travel to client sites as required.This is a senior, client-facing position suited to a technical leader who combines deep platform expertise with strong stakeholder engagement skills. You will define architectural direction, guide delivery teams, and play a critical role in shaping large-scale ServiceNow programmes.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitectural LeadershipLead end-to-end technical design across ServiceNow implementations, with a focus on ITSM, ITOM, and CMDBDefine architecture standards, integration patterns, and platform strategy across engagementsProduce high-quality solution architecture and design documentationEnsure all solutions align with best practices, are scalable, and remain upgrade-safeDelivery & Technical GovernanceAct as the senior technical escalation point across the full delivery lifecycleConduct design and code reviews, ensuring quality and consistencyIdentify and mitigate technical risks across programmesOversee platform health including performance, instance strategy, and upgrade planningClient Engagement & Pre-SalesBuild trusted relationships with senior client stakeholdersLead solution workshops, scoping sessions, and architectural discussionsTranslate complex requirements into clear, deliverable technical solutionsSupport pre-sales activities including proposals and demonstrationsLeadership & Practice DevelopmentMentor and develop consultants across the technical teamContribute to best practices, reusable assets, and internal capability developmentStay current with ServiceNow platform innovations, including AI capabilitiesHelp shape the ongoing growth and maturity of the technical practiceSkills & ExperienceProven experience as a ServiceNow Technical Architect or senior technical leadDeep expertise across ITSM, ITOM, and CMDB / CSDMStrong understanding of ServiceNow architecture including integrations (REST/SOAP/MID Server), data model, and securityHands-on development capability across Flows, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, and custom applicationsExperience delivering complex, enterprise-scale solutions end-to-endStrong leadership and stakeholder management skillsExcellent communication skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical audiencesMust hold active DV security clearanceServiceNow certifications such as CSA and CIS-ITSM (CTA desirable)DesirableServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or working towardsExperience with AI/ML capabilities within the ServiceNow platformBackground in public sector, defence, or highly regulated environmentsAdditional ServiceNow certifications across ITOM or other modulesKnowledge of ITIL frameworksThis is a key leadership role offering the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact ServiceNow programmes, influence architectural direction, and play a central role in delivering innovative solutions within a secure environment.
