Production Manager – Premium Fashion Supplier

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Production Manager to join a leading premium supplier to the fashion industry. Based in London, working alongside an in-house design and sample room, this role sits at the heart of the business and plays a key part in delivering high-quality product to major customers.
We are looking for a confident and commercially minded Production Manager who can hit the ground running, take ownership of the production process, and lead a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the apparel industry and be comfortable managing relationships with factories across Sri Lanka, Morocco and Bangladesh.
This role requires someone who is organised, decisive and resilient, with the ability to manage complex critical paths, drive delivery, and handle challenging conversations with both customers and factories when required.
The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, ensuring orders move efficiently from development through to final delivery, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, timing and communication.
Working closely with internal teams including design, merchandising, fabrics, trims and logistics, you will ensure production runs smoothly and that all orders are delivered on time, in full and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Take ownership of the end-to-end production process for all customers.
* Manage and lead the production team, ensuring clear communication, strong organisation and high performance.
* Drive the critical path, ensuring all production milestones are met across multiple factories and product categories.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with offshore factories, particularly in Sri Lanka, Morocco and Bangladesh.
* Ensure all suppliers deliver on time, in full and to the agreed quality standards.
* Act as a key point of escalation for issues relating to production, working closely with the New Business Account Manager and senior management.
* Work collaboratively with production merchandisers to manage orders and resolve production challenges.
* Maintain regular communication with offshore QC teams to ensure product quality is consistently achieved.
* Liaise closely with fabric, trims and logistics teams to ensure accurate ordering and timely delivery of materials.
* Ensure all production documentation and dockets are completed accurately and within required timelines.
* Support wider production operations and contribute to continuous improvements in processes and workflow.
Skills & Experience
* Extensive experience within apparel production, ideally within a supplier environment.
* Proven track record of managing and leading a production team.
* Strong experience working with international factories and managing offshore production.
* Excellent understanding of critical path management and production planning.
* Confident communicator able to manage challenging conversations with factories and customers when necessary.
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines.
* Commercially aware with strong problem-solving skills.
* Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint).
