We're working with an innovative organisation at the intersection of finance and geospatial technology. Their mission is to transform complex, messy payment data into clear, actionable insights — enriched with merchant logos and ESG tags — to change the way people interact with financial services and the world around them.
They're now looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join their Product Engineering team and play a pivotal role in driving data strategy and business intelligence across the organisation.
About the Role
As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll lead advanced analytics initiatives, shape data-driven decision-making, and mentor junior analysts. You'll combine technical expertise, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management to ensure the organisation's data assets deliver maximum value in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design, development, and governance of the analytics ecosystem (Looker Studio, Metabase, BigQuery).
* Drive the analytics roadmap, identifying opportunities for new metrics, dashboards, and initiatives.
* Partner with cross-functional teams — including Product, Finance, Sales, Customer Care, QA, and clients — to define data requirements and deliver insights.
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, influencing strategic decisions through evidence-based recommendations.
* Champion innovation in processes to enhance data workflows, reporting efficiency, and business intelligence maturity.
* Define and track KPIs with business leaders to ensure measurable impact.
Essential Experience
* 5+ years in data analytics, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
* Proficiency with BI tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI) and data warehouses (ideally BigQuery).
* Advanced SQL skills, with strong data storytelling for executive audiences.
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure considered).
* Strong ability to translate business needs into actionable analytical solutions.
* Proven stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration skills.
* Excellent communication skills to explain data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical thinking.
* Fluency in technical English (C1+).
Desirable Skills
* Knowledge of Machine Learning techniques.
* Experience with data pipelines.
* Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
* Understanding of Agile/Scrum practices.
* Knowledge of Google Cloud and Maps API.
