As Operations Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for the delivery and support of TMG's business-facing applications in the Productivity and Corporate stack, with specific focus on:
* Google Workspace (G Suite)
* Okta - Workforce Identity
Working in a build and run structure, we manage the full product lifecycle of these services, providing subject matter expertise, engineering resources for ongoing projects, as well as BAU and 2nd/3rd line support for a user base approaching 1700, including both office and remote workers.
The Telegraph is a ‘Google house,' and a growing part of its estate depends on or is linked to Google collaboration tools and services. Support of Google Workspace includes mail routing, troubleshooting, and end-user assistance with Drive best practices. Our ideal candidate will be skilled in transforming Microsoft users into Google enthusiasts, finding user-friendly solutions to business challenges in the cloud.
Additionally, familiarity with integrating new services with Okta, understanding of OIDC and SAML, and a working knowledge of HR-driven Identity/HR as a Source are desirable.
Effective communication and change management are fundamental to our operations.
Don't worry if you lack direct experience with Google and Okta; transferable skills from other tech stacks and a keen willingness to learn are welcome. Success in this role requires a passion for customer service, support experience (Line 1/Line 2), understanding of business workflows, triage, escalation, analytical skills, attention to detail, and troubleshooting abilities.
We operate with a hybrid working model, with the team in the office three days a week.
