Join Our Team as a Bars Venue Manager!
Role Purpose
Are you ready to lead an amazing team and create unforgettable experiences? As a Bars Venue Manager, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring every guest leaves with a smile. Your leadership will foster a culture dedicated to exceptional service while driving brand growth and profitability.
Your role will involve closely monitoring key metrics like P&L, guest NPS, and feedback, allowing you to seize opportunities for improvement and ensure your venue thrives. While a personal license is preferred, what truly matters is your bar management experience and passion for guest engagement.
This is a hands-on, guest-facing role, meaning you'll spend most of your time interacting with guests. We’ll allocate time for non-guest facing tasks, but your priority will always be our visitors. Be prepared for late nights and weekends as you join us for our exciting Butlins Live Music Weekenders!
General Duties & Key Accountabilities
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of your venue, ensuring a consistent and high-quality guest experience.
* Capture and analyze guest feedback to identify trends and explore opportunities for enhancement.
* Monitor P&L and payroll, taking proactive measures to mitigate risks.
* Provide accurate rotas three weeks in advance and ensure the system is correctly closed.
* Inspire your team to take ownership of departmental goals by breaking them down into measurable objectives.
* Champion Butlin’s Values and Leadership Behaviours in all aspects of your work.
* Focus on recruiting the Right People, in the Right Place, at the Right Time.
* Build and maintain strong relationships across the resort and with central support teams.
* Utilize exit interviews to enhance team retention and address feedback effectively.
* Manage all aspects of people management, from onboarding to performance management.
Key Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications
* Proven experience leading a venue in an F&B or Retail environment.
* Strong guest-facing skills, adept at handling queries and complaints.
* Good commercial acumen and experience managing rotas based on guest volume fluctuations.
* Experience working with multi-skilled teams to meet guest demands.
* Demonstrated success in leading teams, including:
o Performance management
o Coaching and training
o Setting standards and role modeling
o Problem-solving and providing constructive feedback
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and manage multiple priorities.
