Programme Manager – Lean repair Factory

An exciting opportunity currently exists to join the Civil Aerospace Aftermarket Operations team based in Derby. The Lean Repair Factory leads all aspects of the component repair for Trent family of engines. Reporting to the Programme Executive - Lean repair Factory this role will work closely with Repair Engineering, Purchasing, P&C and Engine teams as well as our global repair supplier network to execute projects that deliver a Lower Shop visit cost. The projects this role will be accountable for will deliver in excess of £150m of incremental cash improvements over the coming 5 years and will play a leading part in delivering a world class MRO network. Some domestic and international travel is likely to be required.
As Programme Manager your key accountabilities are:
* Lead cross function teams (including direct reports) to set up and deliver a suite of projects that have a variety of outcomes, from implementation of complex repair capabilities through to establishing new and novel operating models within our used material management organisation
* Stakeholder management with our engine programme customers
* Maintain and report Parts and Repair Strategic Projects progress within Aftermarket Operations with stakeholders external to the business
* Understand customer needs and oversee requirements management, programme configuration and project scoping processes
* Ensure in year and total term benefits are captured, progress communicated and ultimately the benefits delivered
As the Programme Manager you will have / be:
* Experience in the application of project management processes and techniques.
* Previous experience of successfully delivering projects and leading teams.
* Formal project management qualification is desirable (APM PMQ or equivalent).
* Trained in RR project management systems, P6 experience is desirable.
* Qualified to degree level or equivalent.
