Job Title: Rigging Supervisor

Purpose / Role
1. To deliver a high quality, consistent and competent rigging / lifting construction service in accordance with Project Company requirements, standards and procedures whilst conforming to UK Regulations and Standards
2. To support overall delivery of company goals and schedule
3. To ensure all that all rigging / lifting activities are completed in a safe manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment
4. Demonstrable relevant experience in rigging & lifting operations
Key aims and objectives
5. Read, understand and implement all applicable Project / Company requirements, standards and procedures and ensure that all rigging / lifting activities are completed in compliance with the applicable National Regulations and Standards and to a high standard of safety
6. Perform rigging / lifting duties as requested by the Project / Company, ensuring that all lifting equipment and accessories are utilised in accordance with the manufacturer's operating instructions and/or recommendations

7. Lead and supervise a team of riggers, assigning tasks, and providing guidance as needed.
8. Ensure that all rigging operations comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
9. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
10. Develop and implement rigging plans and procedures for each project, considering factors such as load requirements, equipment specifications, and site conditions.
11. Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that rigging activities are integrated smoothly into overall project schedules.
12. Monitor equipment usage and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
13. Provide training and support to rigging team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
14. Maintain accurate records of rigging activities, including equipment inspections, incident reports, and personnel certifications.
15. Serve as a point of contact for client inquiries and concerns regarding rigging operations.
16. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to rigging operations.
Qualifications/Training
Essential
17. Appropriate documented evidence confirming the trade.
18. Appropriate supervisory documentation and evidence.
19. CCNSG safety passport.
20. Level 3 Diploma in Moving Engineering Construction Loads or Engineering Construction Capital Plant Steel Structures
21. Wood mandatory training: Induction, Working at Height, Risk Awareness.
Desirable
22. COSHH Awareness.
23. Lifting Equipment Inspection.
24. Rigging Loft Management.
25. Working at Heights level 2
