The Early Years team focuses on communication, play, and emotional development, helping children build strong foundations for future learning. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Morden. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a supportive Early Years environment where you can make a genuine difference to the lives of children Age Range: 3-5 years Contract: Monday to Friday 8:45am To 3:30PM Key Responsibilities Support children aged 3–5 with Autism and complex learning needs Provide 1:1 and small group support in the classroom Assist with delivering activities linked to EHCP and learning goals Encourage communication, emotional regulation, and independence Use sensory strategies and structured teaching methods (e.g. TEACCH) Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Support personal care routines where required Candidate Profile Experience supporting children with Autism or complex SEN Experience in an Early Years, SEN school, or nursery setting (preferred) Patient, calm, and empathetic approach Strong teamwork and communication skills Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs Desirable (Not Essential) Relevant qualification such as CACHE Level 2/3, Early Years, or SEN Understanding of the EYFS framework within SEN settings Experience with structured communication methods such as PECS or TEACCH Successful applicants must hold, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS certificate.
