Secondment/Fixed Term Contract 26th January 2026 to 26th February 2027 An exciting opportunity has arisen within the OPCC to help shape and deliver on the PCCs Police and Crime Plan priorities and future vision of the Chief Executive in ensuring the office is organisationally fit for the future. As Maternity Cover For The Head Of Strategic Planning, The Successful Candidate Will Work To The Director Of Strategy And Performance And Lead On The Following Key Areas Of Work Over The 12 Months Lead on writing high level strategy and policies, aligned with horizon scanning to support the delivery of the PCCs Police and Crime Plan, Lead and champion process re-design in the organisation as part of our commitment to continuous improvement and being organisationally fit for the future Line manage staff with responsibility for horizon scanning, risk management, production of the PCCs annual report, administration of the PCCs partnership and community fund(s) and requests for PCC inputs into statutory and non-statutory consultations and calls for evidence Maintain and develop strategic relationships with relevant officers across Thames Valley Police, and externally with partners across the Thames Valley system including Community Safety Partnership arrangements with Local Authorities Work alongside the Head of Performance and Communications and Engagement Manager; as well as Finance, Governance and in-particular with the Head of Delivery.
