Walters Coaches is seeking an experienced and motivated Transport & Compliance Manager to join our growing team based at Lyehill Quarry, Forest Hill, Oxford.
This is a key management role responsible for ensuring the continued compliance, safety, and operational efficiency of our PSV fleet and driving team.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Managing and maintaining PSV operator compliance standards
* Overseeing vehicle compliance, inspections, maintenance schedules, and defect reporting systems
* Monitoring and managing driver compliance, including drivers’ hours, tachograph regulations, and licence checks
* Delivering driver training, inductions, and ongoing development
* Implementing, reviewing, and updating company policies and procedures
* Supporting operational improvements and ensuring best practice across the business
* Liaising with drivers, workshop providers, and management to maintain high safety and compliance standards
* Assisting with audits, investigations, and regulatory requirements
* Monitor route optimazation, driver efficiency and performance
* Previous experience within the transport, coach, bus, or logistics industry
* Strong understanding of transport compliance and operator licensing requirements
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
* Transport management experience or compliance management background
Desirable Qualifications
* PSV Transport Manager CPC qualification (or currently working towards it)
* Category D driving licence advantageous but not essential
