Job Title: Trainee Ultrasound Probe Repair Lab Technician
Location: Northamptonshire - Commutable to Corby
Salary: Starting 27K but when trained up rapid incremental pay rises
The new Trainee will receive comprehensive training in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining ultrasound probes while ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 regulations. This role requires a willingness to learn, attention to detail, and the ability to work within a team environment.
Training & Skill Development:
* Participate in hands-on training to learn ultrasound probe repair techniques.
* Work under the guidance of senior technicians and the Workshop Manager.
* Develop an understanding of repair protocols and industry best practices.
Technical Assistance:
* Assist in troubleshooting and basic repair of ultrasound probes.
* Support technicians in conducting inspections and testing for functionality.
* Learn to follow technical documentation and repair guidelines.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
* Understand and adhere to ISO 13485 and other relevant quality and safety regulations.
* Assist in maintaining accurate repair records and documentation.
* Follow quality control procedures and workshop safety standards.
Workshop Collaboration & Efficiency:
* Work closely with senior technicians and team members.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
* Assist in managing tools, equipment, and inventory as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills in medical device repair.
* Basic understanding of electronics or mechanical repair is a plus.
* Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to follow instructions and technical documentation.
* Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Education or background in electronics, biomedical engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
