Employment Advisor Role
The role of Employment Advisor requires a tenacious, highly organised, motivating, and innovative individual. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment to support people with multiple barriers to move into sustainable employment.
Our Employment Advisors are highly self-motivated individuals who manage a caseload of participants, empowering them to achieve sustained employment. They possess a positive, can-do attitude and are skilled at building and maintaining exceptional relationships through reverse marketing with a wide range of employers, community organisations, and stakeholders. They focus on promoting the benefits of work while always prioritising the participant's needs.
Employment Advisors operate in a dynamic environment where prioritisation and excellent time management are crucial. They must effectively manage their caseloads, meet deadlines, and achieve KPIs and targets in community settings.
Minimum Requirements
* At least 2 years’ experience in a target-driven environment
* Experience managing a caseload of participants with diverse barriers to employment, including health, wellbeing, and skills issues
* Experience working with external stakeholders such as employers, local authorities, health services, or voluntary organisations to facilitate progression routes for participants
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Achieve service delivery KPIs, targets, and outcomes
* Engage with participants referred to the Restart programme, assess their needs, and co-produce action plans for sustainable employment
* Update the database system in real-time to record quality interventions and utilise reporting data effectively
* Build and maintain excellent relationships with key local stakeholders, including Jobcentre Plus, employers, and community organisations, to support participant development and ensure non-duplication of support
* Provide in-work support to help participants maintain employment, identifying and addressing risks to sustainment
* Manage caseloads independently by organising and coordinating activities such as one-to-one meetings, job clubs, group sessions, and innovative interventions tailored to individual needs
