Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant/Cleaner to join our care home team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks with attention to detail, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are upheld at all times. Previous experience in commercial cleaning is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to contribute positively to the wellbeing of our residents by creating a safe and comfortable living space.
Responsibilities
* Clean and disinfect all communal areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and corridors in accordance with health and safety standards
* Ensure all surfaces, floors, windows, and fixtures are kept clean and well-maintained
* Manage waste disposal effectively and hygienically
* Restock cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed
* Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistency
* Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to management
* Adhere to infection control protocols and health & safety regulations at all times
* Maintain a professional and respectful attitude towards residents and colleagues
Skills
* Previous experience in commercial cleaning services is advantageous
* Strong attention to detail with a high standard of cleanliness
* Ability to work independently and efficiently within set timeframes
* Good organisational skills and reliability
* Respectful and caring attitude towards residents' needs
* Ability to follow instructions accurately and adhere to health & safety guidelines
