Job Title: Company Secretary Contract Length: 6 Months FTC Location: Walsall Salary: £55,000 per annum Working pattern: 3 days per week in the office and 2 days working from home Key Responsibilities Of a Company Secretary Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements under the Companies Act 2006 and all relevant legislation Organise and prepare agendas, papers, and minutes for Board, committee, and shareholder meetings Advise the Board on governance matters, compliance, and company law obligations Maintain and update statutory books and company registers Manage filings with Companies House and other statutory bodies Coordinate shareholder communications, including the annual report, accounts, and AGM notices Liaise with external advisers (e.g. solicitors, auditors) as required. Oversee company insurance and risk management processes. Implement and monitor internal policies to uphold transparency, integrity, and compliance Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Company Secretary or Assistant Company Secretary, ideally within a regulated or listed environment In-depth knowledge of corporate law, corporate governance, and compliance Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise at all levels Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach Ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion and confidentiality What's Next If you are ready to take on an engaging challenge where your contributions matter every day, we encourage you to apply now for this rewarding Company Secretary position in the legal industry.
