What we are looking for
Working at our City Campus Manchester, as a Games Development teacher, you will report into our head of department. You will have the opportunity to Introduce students to Game Art career pathways and industry standards. Provide hands-on project-based learning, supporting students in creating their own Game Art assets utilising industry software and tools. Work with a team of dedicated and enthusiastic teachers all working towards the same common goal, educating our future.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Game Art and Development, covering topics such as game design principles.
* Instructing students in the use of industry-standard game development software such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Autodesk Maya, and Adobe Creative Suite.
* Provide individualised support and feedback to students to enhance their learning experience.
* Develop and update curriculum materials to align with industry trends and best practices.
* Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
* Conduct and mark assessments adhering to internal and external verification processes.
* Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate records of progress.
* Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in the game development industry.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Certificate of education or PGCE
* Current and valid industry specialism
* Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation)
* Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification
* English and maths minimum level 2, grade C or grade 4 and above
