2026 Graduate Programme - Building Specialists - Fire, Energy Solutions & Facades at WSP in the UK & Ireland. We are looking for Graduates to join Building Specialists teams with a collaborative environment and opportunities to work on diverse projects across Fire Engineering, Digital Services, Façade Engineering and Energy Solutions.
What you will do
As a Graduate in Building Specialists, you will be embedded in multidisciplinary teams, mentored by experienced professionals, and gain exposure to real-world challenges and innovative solutions. You will contribute to prestigious projects and help deliver best-in-class engineering and advisory services in a complex design and compliance environment.
Responsibilities
* Fire Engineering: support the development of fire strategies, design of fire protection systems, and producing fire strategy documents and technical reports demonstrating compliance with Building Regulations Part B.
* Digital Services: assist in delivering BIM/digital advisory, develop digital strategies across project lifecycles, coordinate and review BIM models for accuracy, ensure compliance with ISO19650, and support digital collaboration.
* Façade Engineering: assist in engineering calculations, prepare design details and drawings, understand façade materials and engineering aspects, participate in site inspections, and gain familiarity with software tools (e.g., Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper).
* Energy Solutions: assist in heat networks evaluation and engineering, support site visits, learn software tools, participate in design team meetings, and help prepare presentations and bid support.
* Engage with clients and partners, attend design team meetings, and contribute to problem solving and innovation across disciplines.
What we will be looking for
* Graduated with at least a 2:2 in a master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
* Interest in Building Specialists services and awareness of building systems (lighting, security) and digital Engineering/BIM (ISO 19650).
* Desire to learn and develop new skills in BIM coordination and digital project delivery.
* Understanding of engineering or construction design processes and curiosity about new technologies that can solve real-world problems.
* Ability to work in teams, communicate effectively, and contribute to a collaborative culture.
* Willingness to start in April or September 2026.
Graduate Development Programme
Two-year development programme with blended learning, core business and professional skills training, mentoring for professional registration, and on-the-job experience. Includes support for chartership with bodies such as ICE, IStructE, IMechE, and IET.
