Vehicle Technician
A busy garage with a solid reputation built on reliability and good customer service are seeking a Vehicle Technician to join their team.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week to service a variety of vehicles, various brands and deal with the repair of bodywork.
Responsibilities
* Perform routine servicing and maintenance (oil changes, brakes, tyres, etc.).
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
* Repair or replace faulty parts and components.
* Conduct vehicle inspections and safety checks.
* Maintain accurate service records and job sheets.
* Ensure all work complies with safety and manufacturer standards.
* Keep the workshop clean, organised, and safe.
* Communicate with customers or service advisors about required repairs.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
* Previous experience in a garage/workshop environment.
* Strong knowledge of vehicle systems (engine, transmission, braking, electrical).
* Ability to use diagnostic tools and software.
* Problem‑solving and fault‑finding skills.
* MOT Tester certification (desirable, not essential).
* Full UK driving licence.
* Basic IT skills for job logging and diagnostics.
Benefits and Salary
Salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum plus pension, healthcare, discount on products / tickets to shows.
