Primary SEN Teacher – Barton School, Barton-upon-Humber DN18 6DA. 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Salary up to £40,000 per annum. Permanent; Term Time only. Start: October 2025. UK applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship.
Barton School is a specialist setting for children and young people with autism, aged 5 to 19. We are expanding our team as part of ongoing growth projects and are excited to offer a great opportunity to join our dedicated school community.
About the Role
As a Primary SEN Teacher you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, delivering the school curriculum in a way that maximises achievement and supports pupils in developing their potential. We value quality in all we do and seek a teacher who is calm, engaging, resilient, and has an innovative teaching style focused on helping every pupil reach their potential.
Requirement: UK QTS or equivalent.
Responsibilities
* Deliver lessons that meet pupils’ individual educational needs and curriculum requirements.
* Use an innovative, engaging teaching approach to maximise pupil achievement and wellbeing.
* Support the development and growth of pupils with autism and associated complex needs.
* Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a high standard of teaching and safeguarding.

4DWW (Four-Day Week) and Probation
4DWW is subject to successful probation and is not a contractual benefit. You’ll work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay, where applicable. The 4DWW trial is subject to staffing and policy rollout at individual schools.
