Job Description Summary
This role will be a key member of our supply planning team. Working closely with suppliers, production, materials and inventory management to ensure the appropriate materials are available to meet the production schedule. Coordinates with inventory to time the shipment of specific materials in line with production schedules and inventory goals. Works with suppliers to procure the appropriate materials for production. May assist in the production scheduling process.
This is a hybrid role based in our Letchworth office. This position is a fixed-term contract until March 2027.
Key Responsibilities
* InventoryManagement:Overseeandmanageinventorylevels,ensuringthatstockissufficienttomeetcustomerdemandwhileminimizingexcessinventory
* Collaboration:Workcloselywithvariousdepartments,includingprocurement,operations,customer service andsales,toidentifypotentialsupplychainissuesandproposeeffectivesolutions.
* ContingencyPlanning:Developandimplementcontingencyplanstomitigaterisksinthesupplychainprocess.
* SupplierRelations:Maintainrelationshipswithsupplierstoensurecompliancewithqualitystandardsanddeliveryschedules.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Experience:1+yearsofexperienceinsupplyplanningorsupplychainmanagement welcome, but not necessary.
* AnalyticalSkills:Stronganalyticalskillswiththeabilitytointerpretdatasetsandmakedata-drivendecisions.
* TechnicalProficiency:Good excel skills, including pivot tables, pivot charts and vlookups. Familiaritywithinventorymanagementsystems,ERPsystems(suchasLogility & JDE),anddataanalyticstools.
* CommunicationSkills:Excellentcommunicationandinterpersonalskills,withtheabilitytocollaborateeffectivelyacrossteams.
* Problem-solving: Proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
