Join to apply for the Change Delivery Manager role at FGH (Freemans Grattan Holdings). Hybrid flexibility with 2 office days per week across Tue/Wed/Thu at the FGH Business Centre, Bradford. The Change Delivery Manager runs the Change Delivery function within the Value Delivery Office, ensuring successful delivery and reporting of FGH’s projects. The role has line management responsibility for the Change Delivery function, including Project Managers, Business Analysts, PMO and Business Architects. The role holder will own the delivery of projects within the portfolio and enable FGH to achieve its strategic objectives, owning the change delivery frameworks, tools, processes and artefacts. The fast-moving retail environment requires pace and structured delivery.
Responsibilities
* Leadership: Effective line management of Change Delivery colleagues (including Project Management, Business Analysis, Business Architecture, PMO) with leadership, SME guidance and mentoring to maintain a high performing team.
* Communicate the strategic importance of the Change Delivery team and the Value Delivery Office to direct reports, showing alignment to FGH’s strategic objectives.
* Foster a collaborative, proactive and adaptable team culture with a focus on continuous learning and development.
* Support the Head of VDO in Portfolio Management and ensure smooth hand-offs between portfolio- and project-level processes.
* Change Delivery Team Management and SME: Own end-to-end project delivery lifecycle frameworks and ensure delivery in line with established processes, tools and artefacts.
* Oversee delivery of initiatives within FGH’s VDO change portfolio, ensuring quality, cost and timing criteria are met.
* Define required capabilities across Change Delivery (project management, business analysis, business architecture, PMO, benefits realisation and business change) and ensure the team delivers against them.
* Stakeholder Management: Champion the Business Change function across FGH, promote value, and maintain strong relationships with Technology, Digital Experience, VDO Core Team and other stakeholders, ensuring clear hand-offs and RACI clarity.
* Reporting: Establish and maintain accurate, timely reporting for different audiences (project teams, VDO core team, EMT/SLT).
* Resource Management: Ensure in-flight projects are appropriately resourced, maintain resource tracking, and escalate risks as needed; use resource management tools for scheduling and prioritisation.
* Governance: Ensure change delivery governance is in place and communicated; ensure decisions are taken by appropriate governance forums per delegated authorities.
* Risk Management: Identify, assess and treat project risks per policy and escalate into the appropriate governance forum.
Qualifications and experience
* Solid commercial understanding of business and retailing to articulate the value of Change Delivery.
* Minimum 5 years in a similar Change Delivery leadership role in retail or a fast-paced environment.
Skills and capabilities
* Communication & Leadership: Excellent interpersonal skills to engage at all levels and with third parties; experience managing cross-functional teams; flexible and proactive with change; strategic thinking to align Transformation activities with business context.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong planning, analytical and reporting skills; knowledge of business analysis and business change best practises; proficient in structured project management methods and tools with recognised PM qualifications (e.g., APMG Agile PM, APM Project Management, Prince 2); experience across Agile/Hybrid/Waterfall lifecycles and customer-facing digital work.
