Head of Category – eTrading (c. £50–60k)
This is a rare chance to shape the full category strategy for a high-growth online trading division selling across Amazon UK & EU, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, eBay and several B2C websites.
I’m supporting a fast-paced, entrepreneurial retailer that wants someone who can spot products before they trend, think creatively, and build ranges that drive commercial impact. They do not want a corporate “head of” who delegates everything. They want someone who’s hands-on, commercially sharp, and excited by growth.
The role
• Build category strategies across seasonal, core and trend-led products
• Use marketplace and social data to identify high-potential lines
• Shape the product and promotional calendar across all channels
• Work closely with the Buying Team on briefs, cost targets and supplier selection
• Support the launch of ranges across Amazon UK/EU and social commerce
• Own category P&L, profitability and performance reporting
The ideal person
• Strong category, trading or buying experience in eCommerce
• Comfortable working across Amazon, social commerce and multi-channel environments
• Analytical, curious, commercially driven
• Able to work at pace, think creatively and get hands-on
• Someone who enjoys spotting trends, testing ideas and moving fast
Salary & setup
• £50–60k + bonus
• Hybrid with time in the Normanton office (2–3 days a week depending on location)
