Working as part of the transactional team and reporting to the Sales and Purchase Ledger Manager, this role provides support to the Finance Department, ensuring that the operation delivers exceptional service to its suppliers. The role requires the candidate to work flexibly in a developing environment, with potential to assist or cover other roles within the operation, for which full training and support will be provided.

Your day will look like:
* Processing of 150-200 purchase invoices weekly, ensuring accuracy and investigating discrepancies.
* Getting invoices authorized and matched to Purchase Orders.
* Recording invoices in Sage 50 and posting payments accurately.
* Handling inquiries related to invoices and payments professionally and promptly.
* Managing the shared AP inbox.
* Setting up and updating supplier accounts.
* Reconciling supplier accounts and correcting errors.
* Assisting with period end close activities.
* Performing other reasonable tasks as assigned.
Essential skills / experience:
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Sage50.
* Meticulous attention to detail and good organizational skills.
* Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Proactive problem-solving skills.
* Positive, flexible attitude.
Desirable skills / experience:
* Experience with D365 is advantageous.
Professional requirements:
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
Education:
* Minimum of 2 GCSEs (grade 5+), including English and Maths.
* AAT Level 2 or higher preferred; further study opportunities available.
Work experience:
* At least 1 year in a relevant role.
