As an Apprentice with Air Liquide, you’ll be fully supported to achieve a nationally recognised engineering qualification by the end of your 4 years at Air Liquide. You’ll be supported by an experienced team member, learning about delivering outstanding service and becoming an expert in your field. A buddy and assessor will guide you through your daily tasks.
Daily tasks include:
* Preparing and amending technical documentation, including P&ID's and General Assembly Drawings.
* Creating drawings for production and cylinder filling plants and systems.
* Developing material specifications for designs.
* Managing retention and distribution of technical documents.
* Participating in design reviews and presenting proposals.
* Collaborating with design engineers and other departments to gather requirements and provide proposals.
* Learning about pressure systems, material selection, and process design.
* Shadowing experienced team members and engaging in hands-on training.
* Attending off-the-job training sessions to develop technical and business skills.

Training
Training will be provided through a combination of college-based learning at James Watt College and workplace training at Air Liquide. The apprenticeship lasts 4 years, with a focus on practical skills, technical knowledge, and behavioural development. Qualifications include Level 2 and Level 3 Diplomas in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, culminating in an End Point Assessment to demonstrate occupational competence. Successful apprentices will receive a certificate of completion.
