Key Responsibilities:
1. Support and maintain the Databricks platform on AWS, ensuring data security and access controls.
2. Monitor and troubleshoot clusters, workspaces, jobs, and other resources; utilize medallion architecture and Unity Catalog.
3. Handle incidents, requests, and changes; collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams.
4. Optimize performance and costs by analyzing workloads and tuning clusters; recommend best practices.
5. Manage AWS services like S3, EC2, IAM, Lambda; ensure security and compliance.
6. Develop automation scripts; work with DevOps for automation, scaling, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Terraform.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, with 5+ years supporting Databricks or similar platforms.
* Expertise in Databricks on AWS, Spark optimization, and cluster management.
* Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, VPC.
* Proficiency in Python, Scala, or SQL; understanding of Spark, ETL, and big data processing.
* Familiarity with DevOps, automation tools (Terraform, Ansible), and CI/CD pipelines.
* Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch or Datadog; strong troubleshooting skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
