Your Role and What You'll Be Doing
The Court of Protection is the judicial body responsible for making decisions relating to the management of finances and other affairs of individuals lacking mental capacity. As one of the UK’s leading firms of solicitors, we have a dedicated team specialising in all matters related to the Court of Protection.
What You'll Be Doing
You will join Partner Charlotte Waite, a specialist in damages management, with extensive experience in Court of Protection applications, including complex trust and statutory will applications. The successful candidate will manage high-value and complex cases, lead a small team with responsibilities such as coaching, mentoring, and employee relations, and undertake business development activities to support firm growth and client service excellence.
About You
We seek a personable Senior Associate who thinks critically, enjoys problem-solving, and has a passion for Court of Protection work and leadership. Our ideal candidate will have:
* Qualified lawyer via traditional SRA route or CILEX
* Experience supervising and leading small teams
* Business development skills and ability to build client and referrer relationships
* Capability to manage complex caseloads with attention to detail
* Technical experience in Court of Protection and understanding of litigation processes
