We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced UAT Manager to join our Pension Administration Technology team. What is special about this role is that you will be able to drive how we approach testing at BW and embed best practice across the business area. Over time you will be able to build your own team.
The role is responsible for ensuring that new systems, enhancements, or regulatory changes are thoroughly tested and meet the expectations of business users, our clients, and regulatory standards, but also ensure the usability and access of the systems to business users.
This is a permanent, hybrid role that can be based in our Bristol, Cheltenham, Birmingham, Amersham, Leeds, Manchester or Liverpool offices.
Responsibilities
* Developing and maintaining test plans, schedules, and resource allocations
* Lead the execution of BAT/UAT cycles for pension administration systems, calculations engines, portals, and reporting tools
* Coordinate with business users, scheme administrators, and third-party vendors to ensure comprehensive test coverage
* Monitor test progress, manage risks, and escate issues as needed
* Oversee defect logging, triage, and resolution, ensuring traceability to business requirements
* Work closely with development and configuration teams to ensure timely fixes and retesting
* Facilitate workshops, walkthroughs, and sign-off sessions with pension scheme stakeholders
We would love to hear from you if you have:
* Experience in financial services, ideally in wealth and/or pension-related roles
* Suitable testing qualification such as ISTQB/CSTM
* Significant experience of Azure DevOps is essential
* Proficiency with tools like JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM, Zephyr, or qTest for test planning, execution, and defect tracking all highly desirable
* Familiarity with pension administration platforms is beneficial
* Project Management or Agile certifications (e.g. PRINCE2, Scrum Master) are beneficial
* Proven experience leading and / or building a UAT/BAT team.
