We are currently recruiting a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician to join a well established maintenance team at Cargill based at their Trafford Park manufacturing site.
This is a hand on, multiskilled role supporting a busy 24 7 process plant and equipment, including a CHP facility.
Salary : £62k (All incl) + benefits
Shift Pattern : 4 off 4 on or 4 on 6 off
The Role
As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of plant and equipment across the site. Working closely with production and shift teams, you will carry out a mix of reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance activities to minimise downtime and improve plant performance.
This is a shift based role operating on a 12 hour pattern, covering days and nights.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment
- Be multi-skilled in both Electrical & Instrument and Mechanical maintenance and be committed to continuous development as necessary.
- Undertake training to multi-skill and in Predictive Maintenance Tasks.
- Work safely and in full compliance with site safety, hygiene and quality standards
- Support and follow CHP routines as required
- Accurately record work using the site maintenance management system SAP
- Communicate effectively with production and shift management teams
About You
You will be a time served engineer with experience working in a manufacturing or process environment. xkybehq You will be comfortable working in a fast paced, safety critical setting and be open to developing your skills across multiple disciplines.
Minimum requirements
- BTEC HNC, level 3 or equivalent in engineering discipline
- Fully completed a recognized trade certification in either electrical/instrument/mechanical engineering and have multi-skilling experience
- Experience working in a large scale manufacturing or processing plant
- Multiskilling experience or a strong willingness to cross skill
- Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
- A strong safety first mindset
Desirable
- Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or process industries
- Exposure to CHP operations
- BOAS certification or willingness to work towards it
Shift Pattern:
- 12 hour shifts
- Rotating days and nights
- 365 day operation
