We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Mechanic to maintain, repair, and service our clients fleet of Heavy Goods Vehicles, ensuring they are roadworthy, safe, and compliant with all legal and company standards. T Key Responsibilities * Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections on HGVs and trailers * Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults * Perform MOT preparations, safety inspections, and defect rectification * Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults efficiently * Ensure all work complies with DVSA, health & safety, and company regulations * Complete accurate job cards, service records, and compliance documentation * Respond to vehicle breakdowns and roadside repairs when required * Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment * Liaise with fleet managers and drivers regarding vehicle condition and repairs Requirements & Qualifications * Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Technician * Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent) * Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence (preferred but not essential) * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills * Good understanding of DVSA regulations and vehicle safety standards * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Good time management and attention to detail Due to ...
