Role: Mechanical Technician
Location: Southampton
Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience
We are currently recruiting for a skilled Mechanical Technician to join a well established engineering business. This role would suit a hands on engineer with strong experience across mechanical systems and a working knowledge of basic electrics.
The successful candidate will have proven experience working with gearboxes, mechanical drives, engines, hydraulic systems, and lifting equipment. You will be responsible for maintenance, fault-finding, repair, and support of mechanical equipment, working to high safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities include
* Maintain, repair, and fault-find on gearboxes, mechanical drives, engines, and hydraulic systems
* Inspect and service lifting equipment in line with safety standards
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities
* Perform basic electrical fault-finding and component replacement
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and manuals
* Ensure all work is completed safely and accurately, with documentation completed as required
