We are currently recruiting a dedicated Driver to ensure smooth operations at universities on a full-time basis, contracted for 37.5 hours per week. Key Responsibilities:
* Participate effectively in a team of drivers serving local health service premises
* Observe all regulations related to vehicle operation and safety
* Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects or accidents immediately
* Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior
* Respect confidentiality regarding Trust and patient information
* Sort mail, and deliver specimens, blood, pharmacy items, food, CSSD, and other items accurately and promptly
* Communicate compassionately with terminally ill, disabled, and bereaved individuals at their homes
* Deliver, install, and demonstrate use of medical equipment, including bath hoists and devices
* Work according to schedules, prioritizing urgent requests for blood, drugs, and other medical items
* Represent the Trust professionally to service users and the public
Ideal Candidate:
* Possesses a full, clean UK driving license (provisional licenses are not accepted)
* Is passionate about customer care and effective communication
* Can work under pressure both independently and as part of a team
* Is confident working in a hospital environment, capable of interacting with unwell or distressed patients
* Has a proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and a customer-focused approach
* Will undergo a Disclosure & Barring Service check (costs covered by employer)
