Sourcing Specialist – Manufacturing & Engineering Components
Salary: Up to £45,000
Location: Loughborough – Office-based, full-time (40 hours per week)

What You’ll Be Doing
You will be right at the heart of procurement, sourcing for hundreds of different items that keep production moving. No two builds are ever the same, sometimes you’ll be handling a few hundred components, other times well over a thousand for complex projects.
Some examples include:
• Precision metal components
• Cable assemblies and circuit boards
• Off-the-shelf items such as valves and raw materials
This is hands-on, direct sourcing. You will be making real decisions, building supplier relationships, and keeping things flowing.
Day-to-day, you will:
• Manage spot buying and campaign-based purchasing
• Engage with suppliers across the UK, EU, Asia, and the US
• Partner with engineers and technical experts to get exactly what is needed
• Visit suppliers and factories in the UK now, with potential for international travel in the future

About You
* You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and will be a member of CIPS.
* Ideally you will come from a manufacturing or engineering background.
* You will have previous buying experience across a variety of direct and indirect categories, with exposure to category management and new product development projects.
